MECH 500: ADV MECHANICS OF MATERIALS

Advanced topics in solid mechanics and strength of materials including energy methods, principle of virtual work, conservation laws, constitutive modeling, aspects of elasticity theory, stability and fracture mechanics with application to the analysis and design of reliable structures. Cross-list: CEVE 400, MECH 400, CEVE 500. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for MECH 500 if student has credit for MECH 400.
