MUSI 416: ORCHESTRATION

Intensive study of the individual instruments of the orchestra and orchestrational techniques from the classical period through the present. Works for analysis include those by Mozart, Beethoven, and Ravel. Students will also form an ensemble and arrange/orchestrate works for the ensemble.
