SMGT 368: ISSUES IN CONTEMPORARY SPORT

This course is designed to provide the student a deeper understanding of the way sport shapes the identity of people across diverse social groups such as race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, age and (dis)ability. A historical perspective combined with critical analysis of modern issues will enable the student to explore sport as a microcosm of society
