EEPS 650: GEOPHYSICAL DATA ANALYSIS
Fall 2025 · Section 001 · CRN 14737
Geophysical processes (earthquakes, tides, eruptions) are often measured by discrete time series data from isolated points, multi-sensor networks, or cables. Principles and case studies will cover: data sampling design/limits, quantification of periodicity and filtering, correlation and deconvolution interferometry, beamforming and migration, and supervised and unsupervised signal classification/detection. Cross-list: EEPS 450. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for EEPS 650 if student has credit for EEPS 450/ESCI 440/ESCI 640.
