HART 213: PARIS THROUGH THE AGES
Summer 2026 · Section 701 · CRN 31309
Discover Paris through the eyes of the artists who shaped it! This immersive three-week HART summer course explores how medieval masterpieces—from the soaring cathedrals of Notre-Dame and Sainte-Chapelle to the jeweled pages of illuminated manuscripts—continue to spark modern imagination. We’ll move from Gothic vaults to the bold visions of the Musée d’Orsay, tracing how artists across centuries have reinvented the city’s visual language. With daily excursions, hands-on learning, and conversations that bridge past and present, you’ll see how Paris became (and remains) the beating heart of artistic innovation.
