FWIS 224: THE ETHICS OF CONSENT

Spring 2027 · Section 001 · CRN 26290

A philosophical exploration of the ethics of consent. What is consent, and why does it matter? When is consent valid? Must consent always be 'informed'? After examining these foundational questions, the course turns to consent in specific domains: sexual relations, medical treatment, and government. No philosophy background required.
