RELI 640: PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION

Spring 2027 · Section 001 · CRN 26709

This graduate seminar takes up philosophical questions — what is true? how do we know? what is the human? how should we live? — in relation to religious practices, communities, texts, and traditions analyzed in historical, cultural, social, political, and economic contexts. By analyzing phenomena deemed religious, we can better understand the role religion plays explicitly and implicitly in our world, and we can critically and constructively respond to the crises and possibilities of our present.
