The class explores social and political philosophical issues related to the eventful decade of the 1960's. We will philosophy about defining historical phenomena such as the civil rights movement, feminism, the Vietnam war, and the Beatles.

This course uses case studies of contemporary legal questions (including topics like reproductive rights, the purpose of incarceration, tariffs, and immigration) to study ethical theories and probe the relationship between morality and culture.
