Needs Finding & Global Health
In this course students will learn in both a lecture and experiential format. Via lecture, students will learn fundamental concepts in global health such as: global health disparities, global health ethics, health measures health policy, and development of technologies to improve health in low-resource settings. For the needs finding portion, students will spend time completing observations in clinical and community health settings in underserved communities in Texas. GLHT 591 will focus on learning about the global landscape of health disparities and needs as it relates to innovative solutions and medical device development. This course will be offered in the Fall semester. Instructor permission required. Cross-list: GLHT 591.
