Continuation of JAPA 142. Development of interactional competence in Japanese (sociolinguistic and socio cultural knowledge) to communicate and interact with speakers of Japanese. The course is based on a student-centered, critical-thinking approach to language analysis/acquisition. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for JAPA 263 if student has credit for JAPA 201.
