PHIL 498
Independent research course for undergraduate philosophy majors who wish to write a senior thesis and become eligible for honors in the major. Students may enroll in PHIL 498 only with consent of a faculty advisor and the department, and only if they intend to enroll in PHIL 499 as well. Senior Thesis is a year-long research course. Previously offered as PHIL 411. Mutually exclusive with PHIL 411, credit cannot be earned for both classes.
PHIL 672
The Dissertation Preparation course is a required satisfactory/unsatisfactory course for Philosophy PhD candidates who have completed their coursework, qualifying examinations, and dissertation proposals. In this course, students will present portions of their dissertation to the class. The instructor will then provide feedback to the presenter to make revisions. Repeatable for Credit.
